We are a Brooklyn-based construction estimating company helping contractors, developers, owners and design teams price projects accurately across New York State — from Manhattan high-rises to Upstate industrial facilities.
WHO WE ARE
A Construction Estimating Company Built for New York
New York Cost Estimating is a construction estimating and quantity takeoff company that prepares detailed, trade-by-trade cost estimates for residential, commercial and industrial projects across New York. Our estimators measure quantities from your drawings, price them with current New York labor, material and equipment costs, and deliver estimates that are organized, transparent and ready to use for bidding, budgeting, financing or negotiation.
We started the company because New York contractors kept running into the same problem: national cost averages and generic estimating services did not reflect what it actually costs to build here. Union and prevailing wage labor, NYC Department of Buildings requirements, sidewalk sheds, hoisting, restricted deliveries and winter conditions upstate can move a budget by a wide margin. Our job is to capture those costs before they become surprises.
Today we provide everything from Quantity Takeoff Services and Material Takeoff Services for subcontractors to full Construction Cost Estimating Services, Bid Estimating Services and Construction Cost Consulting Services for general contractors, developers and owners.

Our estimators come from preconstruction, project management, quantity surveying and field backgrounds. That mix matters: an estimator who has watched a slab get poured or a ceiling get hung knows where quantities hide and how productivity changes in a tight Manhattan floor plate compared with an open warehouse site in Western New York.
We estimate by sector and by trade. On the sector side we keep Residential Estimating Services, Commercial Estimating Services and Industrial Estimating Services separate, because each has its own cost drivers. On the trade side we cover every CSI division, including Concrete Estimating Services, Masonry Estimating Services, Structural Steel Estimating Services, Roofing Estimating Services, Drywall Estimating Services and MEP Estimating Services for mechanical, electrical and plumbing scopes.
